Ex-Royal Marines Landing Craft.

Electric winch operated bow ramp leading to 8.85m (29’) well deck with 5.5 tonne load capacity. Built-in Plastizote buoyancy foam providing unsinkable capability. The landing can be altered to fit the requirements for the project as requested, acting as load and passenger carrier. A lift out compartment is available for passengers and coding to MCA Category 3.

This craft has had the armour removed, which has reduced the original draught and common specification from 0.85m (34”) to 0.6m (23”), a reduction of eleven inches, to under 2 feet draught at the rear. It is an ideal support vessel for the hovercraft and also for passenger and cargo transport.

The craft is designed for beaching on either rocky or sandy beaches with a minimum gradient of 1 in 120, leaving a maximum of 0.6m (24”) of water at the ‘forefoot’. The craft is capable of beaching in an unladen condition, being loaded with up to the maximum of 5.5 tonnes and retracting from the beach.
